Fox 20th Century Fox supports Blu-Ray compared to HD-DVD
Diversos medios han publicado que próximamente se lanzarán al mercado dos nuevos formatos más avanzados the DVD, are the Blue-ray and HD-DVD. The Twentieth Century Fox support system Blue-Ray, will release movies in this format since 2006. The support along with several major companies like Sony , which has already prepared the new Play Station3 using this technology.
The HD-DVD will also support the great monsters Empresarials as Microsoft, Sanyo, Toshiba, etc. And some Hollywood greats, such as Disney, Paramount, Warner, etc. Seems to have begun a race to see which one prevails over the other systems, although it could be that either succeed, or live in the market for a while.
The advantages of blue-ray are a higher image quality, more storage, which can record hours and hours of TV, and it will be covered so as not to spoil both as CDs and DVDs. The HD-DVD will have similar characteristics but its capacity is much less and have less recording speed. The blue-ray is more expensive and HD-DVD will be old before.
But so many technological advances carry a risk: it is difficult to foresee whether the public will buy some new formats when we are not yet fully adapted to the above: the DVD. Many people just bought the readers and are still replacing their VHS movies shelf by the new (little by little, that the DVDs are not cheap).
It is therefore possible that these new systems do not have mass acceptance. Although they are useful for game consoles, to burn for many hours, or for exceptional things I do not think that buyers prefer a more expensive format (surely will be) because they have higher quality, though most have no home theater or home television stations many inches to appreciate those technological advances. May be of long duration DVD and CD for those usos.Veremos in the coming months consumers decide what and how this market evolves.
